K-POP in Panamenian TV
Many of us are familiarized with the TV Show Banzai, but for those who don't know it, Banzai was a program created to satisfied the need of asian music in Panama, it currently airs on Saturdays at 12pm , in the music channel +23
But this information was just known by those who were into the asian culture, but with willingness of making themselves known , fans took the hardwork of making local music tv channels, +23 and Mix Tv, recognized KPOP. After a couple of days asking via twitter asking for Kpop videos, finally +23 was the first one to respond to the request of fans with SNSD and 2NE1 videos.
Mix TV , seeing the power of Kpop fans post this message in their twitter account:
TRANS: LET'S SEE , let's put into debate how many people want #kpop in mix tv
This cause a high response of kpopers so they started sending their requests and they were finally heard, when Mix Tv presented Super Junior's Bonamana , sadly most fans were unaware of this so they missed it.
But today they surprised a lot of people by showing the video again.
All this revolution is caused for the desire that KPOP fans in Panama have to get recognition, as their fellow friends in Latin America.
Just last year we could get an interview with Telemetro in the morning show "Tu Mañana" and because of many requests we even got our first K-pop contest, leaving the ambassador shocked for the support and making the promise of making another event this year.
Meanwhile the Korean Embassy in Panama shared a post were it said that the network MBC had sell TV shows with a value of $70,000, including the panamenian channel SERTV, which will air new dubbed k-dramas.
We can finally say that the Hallyu Wave has come to Panama to stay, and we know that with the support of fans and as we know union is strength ,this will be the year of K-Pop in Panama.
